Rutgers Football releases "Blackout" uniforms for Illinois game

The annual "Blackout" game will take place next weekend as Rutgers will play host to Illinois. With the help of ADIDAS, Rutgers will be donning new black uniforms which were released by Rutgers Athletics earlier today.

This blackout uniform will debut next weekend on Saturday, October 6th when the Scarlet Knights take on the Illinois Fightin’ Illini at noon EST. All fans, students and alumni are encouraged to support the team and partake in the "Blackout" by wearing their best black game day attire.

This will be the third different blackout uniform combo in the three seasons that coach Chris Ash has been the head coach of the Scarlet Knights. Check out the picture below to see how the uniform has changed over that time.
