Rutgers flips UCF linebacker commit Samarian Robinson following visit

The hot streak on the recruiting trail continued today for Rutgers Football as they not only hosted one of UCF's top commits in Samarian Robinson on campus this week, but also went out and flipped him as well, switching his verbal commitment from the Golden Knights to the Scarlet Knights.

Robinson is listed as a 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker is now the 15th prospect to join the Scarlet Knights 2024 recruiting class and the fifth from Florida.

As a member of the class of 2024, Robinson plays for Lincoln High School down in Tallahassee, Florida. Now Robinson originally committed to UCF back in late January over offers from programs such Arkansas, Cincinnati, East Carolina, FAU, Louisville, Maryland, South Florida, Troy and Tulane. However as he was evaluated by more and more schools, Robinson would go on to add a few more Power-Five offers from schools such as Arizona, Colorado, Georgia Tech Mississippi State and Rutgers.

After offering just a few weeks back in late May, DC Joe Harasymiak and crew were able to get him on campus this past week for an official visit and sealed the deal, thus landing the top ranked linebacker prospect.

Now how is Robinson on the field? This past season as a junior, he finished the year with 93 total tackles (38 solo) and two forced fumbles.
