Thorne broke onto the scene late last season for the Spartans and provided a nice spark offensively, so far this season, he has built upon those successes from last year and has looked strong in the process. Through five games, he is completing 63.1% of his passes for 1,236-yards and 11 touchdowns. He's been solid at not turning the ball over as well, with just one interception on the season, his lone turnover. Thorne isn't necessarily a threat to take off and run the ball consistently, but opposing defenses do need to keep tabs on him as he's totaled 77 rushing yards and two touchdowns this season.
