COMMIT: Rutgers Football lands 2022 DL Demetrius Allen

Rutgers Football’s hot streak on the recruiting trail continued today as 2022 Leo (IN) defensive lineman Demetrius Allen verbally committed to the program.

Allen is listed as a 6-foot-7, 230-pound defensive end recruit and is now the 13th commitment this cycle for the Scarlet Knights.

Allen has been high on Rutgers for quite some time now and a big reason of that is because of his relationship with DLine coach Jim Panagos.

“He’s just a really honest guy,” Allen said. “We’ve been keeping in contact every week and it has been pretty good. He likes me not only as a player, but as a person. We relate well and he speaks to my family which is important. My parents like him.”
