Class of 2020, Willingboro (NJ) wide receiver prospect Chris Long has committed to Rutgers.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound wideout made the news official on Twitter today after decommitting from Temple yesterday afternoon.
Long is now the second wide receiver recruit joining Ahmirr Robinson and the seventh from New Jersey to join the Rutgers Football class of 2020.
Besides the recent state championship game at Rutgers, Long was last on campus back in May. The old Rutgers staff told him that if he were to commit, there is a good chance others would follow.
“(They) just want me to set it off for them,” Long said. “They told me that if I come to Rutgers I could be the one to set it off for their recruiting class. They think all of the New Jersey kids and other local kids would follow me if I were to commit. Right now, they are high on my list.”
