Sources: Rutgers expetced to hire Cory Robinson as assistant coach

Scarlet Nation has confirmed with sources that Rutgers is expected to hire Cory Robinson as an assistant coach. Robinson is expected to fill the last vacant role on the staff and is likely to coach the cornerbacks.

Robinson coached defensive backs at Temple last year before being on staff Toledo. Prior to that, he served on Maryland’s support staff. Robinson has a lot of recruiting ties to the northeast and will be the fifth new addition to the Rutgers coaching staff this offseason.

Last year, Robinson helped the Temple defense become the No.1 pass defense in the American Athletic Conference. Robinson played defensive back at Central Connecticut State where he graduated in 2009.
