PREVIEW: Rutgers Basketball versus Columbia Lions

It’s been seven days since the Rutgers Scarlet Knights men’s basketball team last took to the court for a game. Now after a week of rest and practice the Scarlet Knights are set to welcome the Columbia Lions to town.

Here's everything you need to know about tonight's game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

#15 G Gabe Stefanini (2018-19 stats): 14.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.6apg

THE SKINNY: The second year guard from Bergen Catholic High School (NJ) has made some massive improvements over this past offseason and has seen his points per game jump from 5.9 last season all the way up to 14.9 so far this season. So far this season Stefanini has been shooting the ball very well, he is currently shooting 49.5% from the field along with 54.3% from beyond the arc. He should do most of the scoring for the Lions.

#10 G Quinton Adlesh (2018-19 stats): 11.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.8apg

THE SKINNY: Adlesh is a fourth year senior for Columbia and he is one heck of a deep ball threat. Last season he finished the year with the nations 14th highest three point percentage (44.2%). He is a little on the smaller side, but he has a similar build to Fordham point guard Nick Honor, who recently had a pretty big game against Rutgers. He will be one to keep an eye on today.

RECORD LAST SEASON: 8-19 (5-9) / Significant wins against Harvard, Princeton, Maine

SERIES HISTORY: This will be the 38 contest between the two schools and Rutgers leads the series 20-17 after a 60-36 victory back in 2002.
