Rutgers Recruiting Timeline

With National Signing Day approaching, Scarlet Nation takes a look back at the past year in Rutgers recruiting and highlights all the events from the time of the first commit all the way up to the current day.
February 19, 2012: Dayton defensive back Anthony Cioffi kicks of the 2013 recruiting class by becoming Rutgers' first commit after attending a RU basketball game the night before.

April 17, 2012: Rutgers receives its second commitment when Madison athlete Justin Goodwin offers up his verbal pledge to RU.
April 22, 2012: Rivals VTO Camp hits New Jersey, bringing out some of the area's top prospects to Piscataway High School.
April 28, 2012: A host of recruits make it up to campus for Rutgers' annual spring game inside High Point Solutions Stadium.
May 1, 2012: Rutgers unveils its new Nike Pro Combat style uniforms in New York City.
May 25, 2012: Rutgers makes it two for one as it gets commitments from running back Dontea Ayres and wide receiver John Tsimis on the same day.
June 6, 2012: TJ Taylor becomes the third South Brunswick player to commit to Rutgers in the last four years.
June 8, 2012: Rutgers hosts its first-ever Friday Knight Skills Camp, bringing dozens of the area's top skill players to Piscataway for a night of competition.
June 9, 2012: Rutgers holds its annual Big Man Academy, featuring some of the area's top offensive and defensive linemen.
June 12, 2012: Egg Harbor Township defensive lineman Eric Wiafe commits to Rutgers.
June 15, 2012: Rutgers receives a commitment form Holy Trinity quarterback Christopher Laviano of Hicksville, N.Y.
June 21, 2012: Tight end Nick Arcidiacono commits to Rutgers, becoming the third Archbishop Wood (Pa.) player to do so in the past two years.
June 23, 2012: Rutgers holds its annual passing camp, where over 70 high school teams compete in 7-on-7 play. Later that day, Stroudsburg (Pa.) defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph commits to Rutgers.
June 24, 2012: Players begin to arrive for Rutgers' three-day summer camp.
June 27, 2012: Rutgers gets three commits on the final day of its summer camp. Lake Mary (Fla.) tight end Taylor Marini started things off in the early morning and was followed by a noon time commitment from Timber Creek athlete Myles Nash. Red Bank Catholic defensive tackle Josh klecko finished things off with an afternoon commitment.
July 3, 2012: University High defensive end Nick Internicola commits to Rutgers just hours before the start of Independence Day.
July 5, 2012: Kemoko Turay of Barringer High School commits to Rutgers without ever having played a down of high school football.
August 1, 2012: Maryland offensive lineman Moise Larose confirms his commitment to Rutgers.
August 5, 2012: Former Penn State commit Jamil Pollard transfers to Rutgers.
August 6, 2012: Training camp begins at Rutgers.
August 24, 2012: Rutgers gets its third Florida commit in the class from American Heritage defensive back Bryant Gross-Armiento.
September 7, 2012: Linebacker Lester Liston of Fork Union Military Academy (Va.) commits to the Scarlet Knights.
September 18, 2012: Four-star athlete Nadir Barnwell of Piscataway commits to Rutgers.
October 25, 2012: Joshua Hicks of Palmetto, Fla. becomes Rutgers' first commit to the recruiting class of 2014.
November 1, 2012: Moise Larose decommits from Rutgers and commits to Maryland.
November 20, 2012: Rutgers officially accepts an invitation to join the Big Ten conference.
November 21, 2012: Metuchen offensive lineman Dorian Miller announces his plans to attend Rutgers on live television.
November 30, 2012: St. Elizabeth (Del.) wide receiver Andre Patton commits to Rutgers while on campus following RU's regular-season finale loss to Louisville.
December 6, 2012: Twenty-four year-old Australian punter Dean Crozier commits to Rutgers.
December 7, 2012: Rutgers holds its first official visit weekend and welcomes a host of committed prospects to campus.
December 11, 2012: University High (Fla.) four-star linebacker Skai Moore commits to Rutgers.
December 15, 2012: Rutgers welcomes a host of the area's top juniors to campus. Top recruits such as Manalapan wide receiver Saeed Blacknall and Red Bank Catholic offensive tackle Quenton Nelson check out a bowl practice and spend the day in Piscataway.
December 29, 2012: Current RU commits Dorian Miller, Myles Nash, Anthony Cioffi and Andre Patton participate in the 2012 Chesapeake Bowl.
January 8, 2013: Skai Moore decides to re-open his recruitment.
January 22, 2013: Spring semester begins and Rutgers welcomes five early enrollees in Lester Liston, Chris Laviano, Nadir Barnwell, Dontea Ayres and Delon Stephenson, who spent last fall at Milford Academy. Dean Crozier does not meet the requirements and is no longer a part of RU's class of 2013.
January 25, 2013: Rutgers holds an official visit weekend. Skai Moore highlights the group of uncommitted prospects.
January 28, 2013: Former Syracuse commit Devan Carter flips to Rutgers.
January 29, 2013: Rutgers receives its fourth Florida commitment as Pasco wide receiver Janarion Grant pledges to spend his future in Piscataway.
February 1, 2013: Rutgers hosts its final official visit weekend while most in attendance were committed prospects.
February 4, 2013: Tight end Matt Flanagan of Mendham, a highly-touted walk-on, chooses Rutgers over Northwestern.
