Rutgers 2022 OL pledge White getting closer to coaches, fellow commits
It has been more than two months since Hudson Catholic (NJ) 2022 offensive lineman Taj White committed to Rutgers and things have only gotten better in the meantime.
The Scarlet Knights have reeled in nine additional commits and it wouldn’t be surprising to see more on the way given the tear head coach Greg Schiano is on.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder had influence in the most recent one in 2022 Owensboro (KY) four-star quarterback Gavin Wimsatt. Wimsatt may be one of the biggest recruiting wins in program history and White knows how important he is for the class.
“He’s a perfect fit for us,” he told The Knight Report. “We needed a quarterback. We already had the offensive line to block for him. We would get on FaceTime with him and tell him that we want and need him. We’re going to be on a whole different level now. I think we’ll get two more guys on the offensive side of the ball too.”
