Recruit Scoop - Week 9

Much of New Jersey was without football over this past weekend, but there were still plenty of Rutgers commits and targets in action beyond the Garden State. The Recruit Scoop runs down which of those high schoolers shined the brightest on the gridiron.

LB Lester Liston - Hargrave Military Academy (Va.)
Liston had 10 tackles in a 20-0 victory over Jireh Prep on Saturday.
TE Taylor Marini - Lake Mary (Fla.)
Marini's role was limited to blocking in a 13-0 loss to Seminole which eliminated Lake Mary from contention in the state playoffs. For the season, Marini has 12 receptions for 164 yards as part of a run-heavy offense.
DE Nick Internicola - University School (Fla.)
Internicola had six tackles as University rolled to a 56-0 rout of Eagle's View.
S Bryant Gross - American Heritage (Fla.)
Gross was part of a defense that allowed only two first downs in a 56-0 win over Dillard.
ATH Myles Nash - Timber Creek
From his defensive end position, Nash registered 4 tackles as Timber Creek downed Seneca by a score of 19-6.
Class of 2013 targets
WR Andre Patton - St. Elizabeth (Del.)
Patton pulled in 5 catches for 95 yards and a touchdown as St. Elizabeth fell to St. Mark's 35-28. Patton also added a rushing touchdown and finished with 72 yards on the ground to go along with five tackles on defense.
Class of 2014 targets
RB Ray Lawry - Kingsway
Lawry scored both Kingsway touchdowns on runs of 54 and 5 yards in a 20-16 loss to Williamstown.
DE Garrett Dickerson - Bergen Catholic
Dickerson hauled in four passes for 55 yards including a big 18-yarder on 4th down to keep the Crusaders alive in the fourth quarter of a 48-42 victory over Friendship Collegiate of D.C. Dickerson also added 11 tackles from his defensive end spot.
ATH Montae Nicholson - Gateway (Pa.)
Nicholson caught a 25-yard touchdown pass to help No.2 seeded Gateway breeze to a 35-19 victory over Peters Township in the first round of the WPIAL AAAA playoffs.
S Dravon Henry - Aliquippa (Pa.)
The junior rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns to lead top seeded and unbeaten Aliquippa to a 55-0 victory over Steel Valley in the first round of the WPIAL AA playoffs
WR K.J. Williams - Liberty (Pa.)
Against crosstown rival Freedom, Williams had another big day with 6 catches for 137 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown reception. Williams also added an 11-yard interception return for a touchdown in Liberty's 41-14 victory.
ATH Thaddius Smith - O'Hara (Pa.)
In the loss to Archbishop Wood, Smith had 6 catches for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Smith finished the season with 33 catches for 426 yards, 57 rushes for 362 yards and 14 total touchdowns earning First-team All Philadelphia Catholic AAA league at running back.
