Nadir Barnwell Recruiting Timeline
The last couple of years have been a very busy time for Rutgers' latest commit, Nadir Barnwell of Piscataway. Here's a look back at all the major events that occurred during Barnwell's recruitment.
September 13, 2009: As a freshman, Barnwell plays his first ever varsity game inside Rutgers Stadium against Howell. He starts the second half at quarterback as Piscataway is defeated 26-14.

December, 2009: Barnwell picks up his first offer from Rutgers as a true freshman.
June 13, 2010: Barnwell starts to gain attention after strong performance at NUC Ultimate 100 Camp in Matawan, N.J.
December 4, 2010: Barnwell leads Piscataway to a state championship victory over Hunderton Central by a score of 34-6 inside Rutgers Stadium. Barnwell finishes with 80 rushing yards and a touchdown, 5-of-8 passing for 97 yards and two touchdowns. He also intercepts a pass on defense.
July, 2011: Barnwell picks up his second offer from Florida.
December 3, 2011: Piscataway wins a 41-34 thriller over Elizabeth in the state championship game at Rutgers. Barnwell completes 6-of-11 passes for 118 yards and one touchdown.
February 4, 2012: Barnwell picks up Notre Dame offer, giving him a total of seven.
February 13, 2012: Barnwell takes an unofficial visit to Rutgers to meet with new RU head coach Kyle Flood.
March 31, 2012: Rutgers holds its second spring practice and Barnwell makes the short trip over to Rutgers to take in the action.
April 21, 2012: At the NLA 7-on-7 tournament in Pittsburgh, Barnwell is among the top 10 performers.
May 1, 2012: The University of Michigan offers Barnwell.
June 8, 2011: Rutgers holds its first ever Friday Knight Skills Camp and Barnwell is among the top performers at the event.
July 3, 2012: Barnwell's offer list swells to 23 with schools from all over the nation getting involved.
July 27, 2012: Barnwell heads down to Florida to attend the Gators' Friday Night Lights football camp.
August 16, 2012: Barnwell eliminates Florida from his list and declares RU his favorite but says he would consider taking visits to UCLA, Michigan, Michigan State and Tennessee.
August 22, 2012: Barnwell separates his shoulder at a preseason quad-scrimmage. He later learns he will be sidelined for the first month of the season.
September 15, 2011: Barnwell declares Rutgers and Tennessee his two finalists.
September 17, 2012: Barnwell commits to Rutgers.
September 18, 2011: Barnwell publicly announces his decision to attend Rutgers live on television.
