Miller makes another visit to Rutgers

A familiar face made his way onto the Rutgers campus on Tuesday to check out the Scarlet Knights in action. Metuchen offensive lineman Dorian Miller dropped in for yet another visit to the nearby university.
"I showed up and watched practice," said New Jersey's No.6 ranked prospect in the class of 2013 according to NJVarsity.com. "It was real cool because it was my first time at a training camp practice. It was good to see how they get into it."

While Miller has been up for many unofficial visits and various recruiting weekends, he was able to see the Rutgers coaching staff in a different light on Tuesday.
"It was cool to see the coaches in their normal habitat," he said. "I was able to see what they are like on a normal everyday type basis doing their regular job."
Following the practice, Miller was able to visit with head coach Kyle Flood and spend some one-on-one time with him in the Hale Center.
"It was the most comfortable conversation I've had with coach Flood so far," Miller said. "We talked after practice and everything was really flowing with the conversation."
The Rutgers visit comes on the heels of a weekend trip down to North Carolina, which recently extended an offer and has started to up its pursuit of Miller.
"It went well," Miller said of the UNC visit. "I didn't know how great of an academic school it is. It's definitely a different setting but I did enjoy it."
Miller will soon declare a top five and, as of now, Rutgers, UConn and North Carolina are three of those five schools with the other two still undecided.
"I'll probably name those five a month from now and those are the schools I'll take my official visits to," Miller said.
Miller also has tentative plans to return to Rutgers this Saturday night for practice, but his own practice may put a crimp in those plans as his own summer camp began this week.
"I'm going to try and get out to the scrimmage that night, it just depends on how I'm feeling that day," Miller explained. "We have practice in the morning, so if I'm not tired I'll make it over there."
Miller remains one of Rutgers' top targets but is still planning on waiting things out before making a decision.
"The plan is to wait until signing day but I feel like I'm being penalized by some schools for taking a long time. It seems like the new norm is for kids to commit real early."
