PISCATAWAY, NJ (October 23, 2023) – Knights of The Raritan (KTR), the name, image and likeness (NIL) collective supporting Rutgers University student-athletes, is launching a “Knightober” campaign to drive new memberships and incentivize existing members to level-up their support.

With Rutgers football winning six games and qualifying for a bowl for the first time since 2014, and the Rutgers basketball season days from tipping off, KTR is starting its two-week campaign on football’s bye week and building up through the next home game against Ohio State on Nov. 4.

Monthly memberships will be the focus of the campaign, which will also include the unveiling of a brand-new website. In addition to user functionality improvements for profile management and a cleaner interface, the site will add exclusive content for members in the coming weeks. New members can join at Knights of the Raritan packages.

KTR also recently launched a regular newsletter about Scarlet Knights athletics, which you can register for at Subscribe | Knights of the Raritan (beehiiv.com)

During Knightober, KTR will offer members the chance to win four experiential “A Day As A Knight” packages around Rutgers football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball. To be eligible for the premium experiences, one must either join KTR during Knightober, increase an existing monthly membership by at least one level, or refer a new member to the collective.

The campaign will culminate with the “Give To Knight” event at the Nov. 4 football game between the Scarlet Knights and the Buckeyes. During a first quarter timeout, there will be a public address announcement about KTR and Knightober, as well as a QR code on the SHI Stadium scoreboard. During that timeout, fans will have the opportunity to scan the QR code and give as many football-specific, one-time contributions as possible to the collective.

“This is an exciting time for Rutgers Athletics and Knights of The Raritan, and a membership drive of this scale is a big moment for us and RU’s student-athletes,” said Jon Newman, president of KTR. “In addition to completing more than 150 deals across 18 Rutgers sports in just 18 months, we’re happy to provide additional value to our existing members through a better user interface, premium experiences and exclusive Rutgers-specific content. These athletes and the athletic department deserve our support as Rutgers ushers in what will likely be its most successful year as a member of the Big Ten.”
