The Good – On the bright side things, the team managed to win the turnover battle 11-to-5. The Scarlet Knights forced the Buckeyes to turnover the ball 11 times on the night. The team also had a big turnaround in the second half from Geo Baker and Corey Sanders who scored a combined 20 points after the intermission.
The Bad – Where do we start with this one? The Scarlet Knights struggled to put the ball in the net once again. Rutgers shot a pitiful 28.8% as they only made a total of 17 buckets on the night. Sticking with the topic of poor shooting, the Knights couldn’t buy a bucket from beyond the arc, hitting just six, 3-point shots all night long. Add in the fact that the team was out rebounded by a total of 16 boards and it became a very long night for any fan of the Scarlet Knights.
Up Next: The Scarlet Knights will welcome the Iowa Hawkeyes to town this Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip-off at the RAC.
