Former No. 1 prospect in NJ, Drew Singleton declares for NFL Draft

Rutgers Football linebacker Drew Singleton has announced his intentions to enter the 2022 NFL Draft according to his Instagram account.

Singleton was ranked as the number one recruit in the state of New Jersey and originally signed with Michigan out of high school as a member of the 2017 recruiting class.

After spending two seasons with the Wolverines, Singleton announced his decision to transfer and shortly after ended up signing with the Scarlet Knights as a member of their 2019 recruiting class under then head coach Chris Ash. Singleton would then go on to appear in 33 games (11 starts) over the next three seasons, where he recorded 104 total tackles (42 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one fumble recovery.
