Bowl projections for Rutgers Football entering week 10

Rutgers Football is now sitting at 6-2 on the season after defeating Indiana on Saturday, making the Scarlet Knights bowl eligible for the first time since the 2014 season.

With that being said, where do the top bowl projections have Rutgers Football heading this postseason?

Action Network (Brett McMurphy): Pinstripe Bowl - Boston College vs. Rutgers

(December 28th - Bronx, New York)

Same Bowl, but a new opponent this week from Brett McMurphy sending a former conference foe in Boston College to the Pinstripe Bowl to take on Rutgers once again. The two have met on the gridiron on 28 different occasions with the Eagles leading the series 20-7-1. However the Scarlet Knights hold the most recent victory, defeating BC by a score of 22-21 in the 2022 season opener for both programs.

Athlon Sports (Steven Lassan): Pinstripe Bowl - NC State vs. Rutgers

(December 28th - Bronx, New York)

Same bowl as last week, setting up the Scarlet Knights to head to the most local bowl game, the Pinstripe Bowl. However in this week's projected matchup, Athlon Sports has the Scarlet Knights taking on NC State, a former bowl opponent back in 2008 when the Scarlet Knights defeated the Wolfpack in the Birmingham Bowl.

CBS Sports (Jerry Palm): Pinstripe Bowl - NC State vs. Rutgers

(December 28th - Bronx, New York)

Similar to Athlon Sports predictions above, Palm also kept Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl versus North Carolina State.

College Football News: Las Vegas Bowl - Arizona vs. Rutgers

(December 23rd - Las Vegas, Nevada)

Little bit of a switchup from the CFN team this week as they have Rutgers headed to Las Vegas to take on a localish (6hr drive) team in the University of Arizona just before the holiday season. This would set up the first ever matchup on the football field between the two programs.

ESPN (Kyle Bonagura): Music City Bowl - Tennessee vs. Rutgers

(December 30th - Nashville, Tennessee)

New bowl prediction this week from Bonagura, swapping Rutgers from the Las Vegas Bowl to one that's a bit closer to home in Nashville, Tennessee versus you guessed it, the University of Tennessee. The two programs have met four times on the gridiron with the Volunteers leading the series 3-1. The most recent matchup took place back in 2002, where the Vols went on to defeat the Scarlet Knights 35-14.

ESPN (Mark Schlabach): Pinstripe Bowl - Boston College vs. Rutgers

(December 28th - Bronx, New York)

It's the same bowl prediction once again this week from Schlabach, setting up a rematch of the 2022 season opener for both of the former Big East Conference programs.
