Rutgers Football enters Ohio State game week as 18.5pt underdogs
Rutgers Football is coming off a bye week, but they are currently sitting at 6-2 on the season after defeating Indiana 31-14 out in Bloomington, Indiana a few weeks ago.
Now with the bye week behind them, Greg Schiano and the Scarlet Knights turn their attention to the No. 3 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
Entering game week, FanDuel has Rutgers as a 18.5-point underdogs against the Buckeyes with the over/under currently sitting at 41.5 points.
Rutgers this season is 6-1-1 against the spread, failing to cover in just two games this as they pushed versus Michigan (+24.0) and Michigan State (4.0). The over has hit in four of the Scarlet Knights' eight games including three times in their last four games.
Ohio State, on the other hand, is 4-3-1 against the spread this season while the the over has only hit in one of eight matchups. The Buckeyes have covered in three of their last four games against Penn State (+4), Purdue (-17), and Maryland (-17).
SERIES HISTORY....
The series between the two programs has been pretty one sided as Ohio State is 9-0 against Rutgers all time, dating back to when they first joined the Big Ten Conference in 2014. The closest of the nine matchups was back in 2020 where the Buckeyes won by a final score of 49-27.
