Rutgers’ newest commitment came in this morning in the midst of a busy signing day as Flowers High School of Jamree Kromah (Springdale, Md.) made the decisaion to join the Scarlet Knights.

“I’m just very excited that the whole recruiting process is finally over,” Kromah said. “I choose Rutgers because I always wanted to play in the Big Ten. When I went to visit the campus, I felt a lot of love from the guys. I basically just imagined myself being there one day.”

Kromah was previously committed to Old Dominion, although he visited Rutgers officially less than two weeks ago.

“On the visit, I noticed it’s a school full of opportunities academic wise. With Coach [Chris] Ash’s plan you can tell Rutgers is a school on the rise,” Kromah said. “His first year in the program they had only two wins with no conference wins and this year they doubled it and had a couple conference wins. You can just tell they are building up and will be great soon.”

Kromah also cited his future position coach for playing a role in his commitment.

“Coach [Shane] Burnham was the coach that believed in me early. My junior year my film was pretty limited, but he still believed in me no matter what. I went back there in summer time to talk with coach Burnham. We talked about how after my senior year he was impressed by how much I improved between the two years.”
