The Monday Morning Kickoff

The weekend capped off with another East Coast Elite Camp at Rutgers and that resulted in numerous offers going out. One of the first offers went out to class of 2018 safety Jordan Mosley of The Haverford School (Haverford, Pa.).

“My reaction was great fullness,” Mosley said of the offer. “I am just happy to receive an opportunity.”

A little while later an offer went out to class of 2018 offensive lineman Matt Rosso of Pennsbury High School after he enjoyed a strong camp performance.

There were also prospects in attendance, who already help a Rutgers offer. Among them was Tottenville High School (Staten Island, N.Y.) athlete Zihir Lacewell, who told Scarlet Nation yesterday that “Rutgers is in the top slot” in his recruitment. Look for an article later this morning on Lacewell.

More offers continued to go out last week as Rutgers sent one out to defensive back Deion Jennings of Timber Creek High School in South Jersey.

“I am excited to get the offer,” Jennings said. “Not only do they play some big time schools, but it's also my in-state school. It's also not that far away from home and the campus is beautiful. They are one of my favorites right now.”

Next weekend, Rutgers will host the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp at Rutgers as more top prospects are expected to be on campus.

That will continue a series of on-campus camps as the coaching staff looks to add to its 2018 class.
