The 6-foot-2, 210-pound wide receiver is a Farmingdale, New Jersey native that played for Howell High School where he was an unranked recruit before committing to Sacred Heart over the likes of offers from Bryant, Bucknell, Monmouth and Navy.

During his four seasons with the Pioneers, Brantley hauled in 80 receptions for 1,216 yards and eight touchdowns. After that he entered the portal and spent one season at Western Illinois in 2022, where he had his best year ever, grabbing 53 receptions for 903 yards and nine touchdown.

With the Scarlet Knights having some struggles this past season offense, specifically in the wide receiver room, Brantley could come in and be a key contributor and even a starter rather quickly as Rutgers continues to revamp that room as they also added Monmouth transfer WR Dymere Miller this offseason.
