WR Eddie Lewis signs with Rutgers

Rutgers added a signing day addition today when Eddie Lewis announced his decision to sign with the Scarlet Knights. The Mater Dei (NJ) wide receiver told Scarlet Nation about his decision to join Rutgers.

"It was everything from the start of them offering me. Me and Coach ash built a great relationship, I also built a great relationship with coach [Jafar] Willams and that just made the situation for me better and the process easier."

"Micah [Clark], Jamal [Beatty], and I have a real good relationship with each other, we've known each other for a while.," Lewis said. "Also, another commit wide receiver Shameen Jones is my cousin."

There is also the potential for Lewis to come in and play early.

"My goal is just for me to come in and play my role," he said. "I'm going to work hard and do my best to get on the field."
