Former Rutgers DT Scott Vallone accepts D-Line coaching job at Fordham

Former Rutgers defensive tackle Scott Vallone is on the move through the coaching ranks as Scarlet Nation has confiremd with sources that he has accepted an assistant coaching job at Fordham. Vallone, who played at Rutgers from 2008-2012, spent the last two seasons at St. Lawrence University as the defensive coordinator.

At Rutgers, Vallone started 51 straight games and also served as a graduate assistant at Rutgers before moving onto St. Lawrence. In his first season at St. Lawrence, in 2016, Vallone's defense held opponents to an average of 11 points per game in route to a 9-1 record.
