COACHSPEAK: Eastern Guilford Asst. Coach Darian Simms talks Steven Murray
Rutgers Football recently landed a new commitment as 2025 Eastern Guilford High School (NC) athlete prospect Steven Murray made the call to commit and sign with the Scarlet Knights recently.
The Knight Report decided to reach out to his Assistant Coach / Recruiting Coordinator Darian Simms to learn more about his game and what type of prospect Rutgers is getting in Murray.
HOW IS MURRAY ON THE FIELD?: "Murray has a knack for getting the ball and he has great hand eye coordination. Whether you put him on on defense or offense, he’s going to get the rock. Also his speed, it’s like he has different gears and it shows but it’s better in person then on film. Just a kid with great overall footwork and finding pockets to get open on offense."
