2024 big man Lathan Sommerville recaps Rutgers visit
As a 6-foot-10, 245-pound interior banger with a post game complete with shot fakes which defenders bite on, Class of 2024 power forward Lathan Sommerville is known for his hulking frame.
He's always had an immense size advantage and exploited mismatches as a traditional back to the rim threat at The Skill Factory in Atlanta, Ga.
Sommerville, who recently wrapped up an official visit with Rutgers and cites Missouri, Villanova, Virginia Tech and Xavier as the programs currently vying for his services the hardest, was quick to cite one area where he's really thrived during the 2022-23 season.
"I would say the best attribute of my game is my mid post game," said Sommerville, who is planning on visiting Missouri next.
"I think my mid post game is pretty tough. That's what people tell me. Getting to my spots, knowing where I am most effective."
