Next: Saturday, vs. Duke.
Georgia Tech
Backup TB Rashaun Grant, playing because of a first-quarter injury to Tashard Choice, ran for 119 yards and a TD as the host Yellow Jackets rolled past Army 34-10. Backup TBs Jonathan Dwyer and Jamaal Evans also ran for touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets, who had 510 total yards - including 292 on the ground.

The Terps couldn't make a 14-3 second-quarter lead stand up, losing 18-17 to visiting Virginia. The winning TD came with 16 seconds left and capped a 90-yard drive that took more than seven minutes. The Terps had not lost to Virginia at home since 1999. Lance Ball and Keon Lattimore each had TD runs for Maryland.

The Hurricanes scored two TDs in an 11-second span late in the game to beat host Florida State 37-29. Miami overcame four turnovers to win. Backup QNB Kirby Freeman connected with TE Dedrick Epps on a 13-yard TD pass with 1:15 left for a 30-29 lead; the TD pass finished off a seven-play, 83-yard drive that took just 1:30. Next: Saturday, at Wake Forest.
NC State
Daniel Evans threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns as the Wolfpack built a 21-point first-half lead en route to a 34-20 victory over host East Carolina. The victory snapped NCSU's 12-game losing streak to Division I-A schools. NCSU built a 21-0 lead, then saw ECU cut it to 21-20 before Evans directed back-to-back scoring drives to put the game away for good.
