Rutgers vs. Arkansas: Did you notice?

Rutgers came back in dramatic fashion to down Arkansas inside High Point Solutions Stadium on Saturday by a final score of 28-24. In the midst of the blackout in Piscataway, did you notice...

James the fullback?
On a 2nd and 1, two minutes into the game, Paul James lined up at the fullback position while Quron Pratt was lined up deep at tailback. The play wound up being a handoff to James who gained 6 yards as the upback.

Barnwell with the start?
Wearing Miles Shuler's old no.14,true freshman Nadir Barnwell got the first start of his college career stepping in for Ian Thomas.

Marquez getting some run?
Redshirt freshman fullback Kevin Marquez got some early run and even ran a route into the flat on a 2nd and 16 early in the first quarter. He stayed in the game for the next few ensuing plays and gave way to Michael Burton later in the drive. Marquez also some more playing time sprinkled in throughout the rest of the game at fullback.

Jacobs with the pressure?
On a 3rd and 6 late in the first quarter, linebacker Davon Jacobs lined up on the edge and came storming into the backfield. His pressure forced a quick pass by Arkansas quarterback A.J. Derby which resulted in an incompletion.

Waters forcing the play?
On an Arkansas 1st and 10 near midfield in the early par of the second quarter, Lorenzo Waters lined up close to the line of the scrimmage and leveled an Arkansas pulling guard in the backfield. The collision enabled Quentin Gause to come free and make the tackle for a one-yard loss.

The unbalanced line?
On a 3rd and 4 nearing the two-minute mark of the first half, Rutgers moved Keith Lumpkin to the right side of the line as he lined up as a makeshift tight end next to Taj Alexander. The left side of the line was left with just two linemen and the play was a rollout pass to the right that went incomplete.

Agudosi on kickoff coverage?
Redshirt freshman wide receiver Carlton Agudosi took to the field as part of the kickoff team for the first time this season, lining up in the middle of the kickoff coverage team. He was in on a key tackle following RU's go-ahead fourth quarter touchdown, forcing the Arkansas drive to start at its own 18-yard line.

Points off trick plays?
Arkansas dialed up a couple of trick plays which paid off in points. The first was a fake punt in the first quarter which resulted in a 24-yard first down completion and led to a field goal. The second trick play came on a 21-yard halfback option touchdown pass midway through the third quarter which put Arkansas up 24-7.

The SEC officiating crew?
The crew of officials who overturned Quentin Gause's would-be third quarter touchdown was a crew of officials from the SEC. Lew Toler jarred the ball loose from wide receiver Julian Horton but it was ruled by the SEC officials that Horton did not have possession before the ball came loose.

Going to Borgese?
After Kyle Federico missed his fourth field goal of the year in the first quarter, head coach Kyle Flood turned to Nick Borgese, who came in as the replacement kicker on RU's first extra point try and remained in the game the rest of the way.

Flood pumping up the crowd?
Head coach Kyle Flood was doing his part to get the crowd pumped up on a critical 3rd down play midway through the fourth quarter as he paced the sidelines raising his hands up and down. His plea was answered as the raucous crowd did their part while Arkansas failed to convert the 3rd down.
