KU signee: Xavier Henry and I talked

For Elijah Johnson, his senior season didn't end as he once envisioned. During his junior season, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound point guard from Cheyenne High School in Las Vegas, Nev., carried the Desert Shields all the way to the State Championship game, but fell to Reno High School in the finals. Having all spring and summer to think about the loss, Johnson was primed to lead Cheyenne back to the State Championship game, but this time around, the Desert Shields would capture the title.

Despite an impressive regular season, Johnson and his teammates, for the second straight season, came up short, as Cheyenne fell to Bishop Gorman in the playoffs. The No. 27 ranked player in the class of 2009, spoke about his senior season, his relationship with Xavier Henry and several other topics. Jayhawk Slant has the latest inside.
