Arnett, Merrow enliven practice 3

MORGANTOWN--Wide receiver Alric Arnett and new fullback Thor Merrow highlighted Day 3 of West Virginia spring football Monday in 50 degree temperatures and breezy conditions at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Arnett, a redshirt junior (all classes are related to football grade) who sat out most of last season with several injuries, twice blew by cornerbacks and caught what would have been touchdown bombs had officials been on the field.

The 6-foot-2, 185 pound X receiver ran the same pattern on both touchdown balls streaking down his right sideline heading to the Puskar Center end zone. First Charlie Russell, then Bradley Starks delivered long passes to him.
