Strongman Miguel Chavis has the strength, toughness and motor that could land him early playing time as a true freshman this fall.

"I doubt I'll be red-shirting, I'll be in the mix," Chavis told Tigerillustrated.com in an interview earlier this week. "I'm going to start working at strongside defensive end. My body and my speed is ready to go and I'm going to stay humble and find my spot on the team. It's all about win-win-win for us."

The Clemson signee who spent this past year prepping at Chatham (VA) Hargrave Military Academy will join the rest of the talented 2007 recruiting haul in early July as they enroll.
