Recruiting trail still hot for Fauria

There is no question that Joseph Fauria (6-7, 247, 4.75) from Encino (Calif.) Crespi is the hottest tight end on the West Coast if not the country. He was already on a tear getting one offer after another and now it looks like there is no slowdown in sight. He received another big offer at a junior day recently and there may more in the very near future.

The Stanford Cardinal have joined the fray of offers with Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, UCLA, LSU and the school that kicked it all off Ole Miss.

"Stanford went really well," Fauria said. "I had a lot of fun and had a really good experience.

"The Stanford coaching staff is what I'm looking for," Fauria said. "They were high tempo, very energetic and mean business. I didn't commit but it was in the back of my mind when I was speaking with Coach Jim Harbaugh.

"Losing is not in Coach Harbaugh's vocabulary. He didn't come right out and say that I just felt that from talking to him.

Fauria earned first-team all-league in both football and basketball as a junior.

From his tight end spot, Fauria caught 22 passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns.
