Linthicum down to two more visits before decision
Last month one of Clemson's many unofficial visitors was Charlottesville, Va., St. Anne's-Belfield tight end Brian Linthicum.
The 6-foot-4, 217-pound athlete has made many stops this off-season, taking trips to Clemson, Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan State, Boston College and Alabama.
Now up to 13 offers and counting, the days leading up to a verbal commitment are also now counting down, as Linthcium told Tigerillustrated.com in a Monday night interview.
"I'm about to take my last two unofficial visits," he said. "I'm going to Cal-Berkeley on the 19th, then I'm coming back home to take a visit to Virginia Tech. That's going to be the last one."
Linthicum's mother and father will accompany him to Berkeley, and the three have decided to make a week out of it. "Coach (Pete) Alamar knows we're coming. We're coming in on the 19th, and then we're going to tour the school on the 20th," Linthicum said.
