Jerry Johnson battles back

One of the reasons that UCLA's Revolver has been shooting blanks over the first two games is the fact that they have dropped more than their share passes. Though the throws haven't always been perfectly thrown many of them were more than catchable. Maybe that is why sophomore wide receiver Jerry Johnson was getting a lot of reps this week in practice.

BruinBlitz.com had a few moments with Johnson after practice earlier in the week.

BruinBlitz.com: How do you get ready for becoming more a part of the offense?

Johnson: "I just really mentally prepare myself. I couldn't really do anything, but mentally prepare and come out here to the practice field and work hard every day."

BruinBlitz.com: When you say mentally prepare, what does that mean?

Johnson: "Stay in my playbook and actually envision myself catching balls and making spectacular catches like you seen today (Wednesday September 15th) and do that on a daily and consistent basis."
