No. 66 Je Zhe Newton has in-home visits queued up this fall
September 03, 2011 SEP 03 01:02 PM ET Je Zhe Newton, the 6-foot-2 forward from Chandler, Ariz., is using the fall for in-home visits to help narrow her list, and according to her GSB Nike Elite club team coach, Greg Strickling, she will wait until after the high school season to make her five official visits.
"Her father and I felt it was best to weigh all options to make sure she makes the right decisions," Strickling said in a text message, " She's going to do all five visits and she's going to follow the system the way it should be followed."
Newton, a four-star prospect ranked 66th in the class by ESPN HoopGurlz, is planning on having at least a dozen schools come out this fall for in-home visits. She has confirmed Boston College, Illinois, Louisville, Rutgers, UNLV, and Washington, but remains wide open to any other schools interested at this point.
WIth the decision to wait until after the high-school season to narrow her list and make her five official visits, she will not sign during November's early signing period and could be one of the highest rated prospects to sign in the Spring. Je Zhe Newton Archive »
