Christa played on the same AAU team as post players #13 Temi Fagbenle and 2011 #1 Breanna Stewart as well as #8 guard Bria Smith, so her floor time may have been limited and the Hoopgurlz scouts could have been focused on the other mentioned players. She purposely joined the Philly Belles team to practice and play alongside the highly ranked players and, according to her comments, she competed well enough to gain the confidence to play for a major program like Rutgers.
