Not taking the post in order, the most important point is that (according to Stanford fans), the Stanford admissions office does not cut athletes any breaks in deciding whether they meet the school's standards. If you don't make the grade, they just say no. That suggests to me that it's still a long shot, since she didn't get in the first time around. On the other hand, perhaps she was told she needed to do something specific to improve her academic resume, in which case the odds might be better. My guess is that she won't go the JUCO route, in part because I can't remember the last time that Stanford took a JUCO. If she's not going to be getting into Stanford, she's much better off going to another good 4-year school. Then the question will be if she decides she likes where she is.
