Michael Dare to transfer from Rutgers

After two seasons at Rutgers, quarterback Michael Dare has decided to transfer out of the program. Dare arrived at Rutgers as a three-star recruit in the class of 2015 out of Elmwood Park High School in Elmwood Park, N.J.

He was also the No.12 ranked prospect in the state of New Jersey and the nation's No.18 pro-style quarterback, according to Rivals.com.

"I enjoyed my time here at Rutgers but I think it's best for me to explore other options," Dare told Scarlet Nation. "I want to thank Coach Ash and the whole staff for giving me this opportunity to be a part of a great program that is going to go far in the next couple years."

Dare is in the process of getting the proper paperwork in order so that he can explore his options.

Dare came to Rutgers as a pro-style quarterback and when the new coaching staff came in and installed a power spread offense, it did not seem to be a match. Dare still has three years of eligibility remaining.
