Rutgers received a bump in Rivals.com's recruiting rankings this week, moving up to the No.26 spot in the country after a few of its commits added an extra star. Thus far, the Scarlet Knights have 10 commitments, including a newly-christened four-star prospect.

This recruiting cycle, the Rutgers staff hasn't been shy in extending offers to secondary players from the Sunshine State, particularly during the spring evaluation period. One of the most recent offers went out to Miami Central cornerback Deatrick Nichols

The spring evaluation period has enabled Rutgers to get an early start on recruiting in the class of 2015. The RU staff has been making the rounds in Florida and recently sent out an offer to a familiar place.
