LSU still in touch with Butler
The general perception is that Southern Cal recruits almost exclusively home grown talent. LSU fans know all too well that isn't the case, with Louisiana prospects such as John David Booty and Joe McKnight signing with the Trojans in recent memory. Wide receiver Brice Butler is another recruit from the South that has pledged to play for USC, but the LSU coaches haven't given up on him yet.
At 6-foot-2, 178-pounds, Butler is one of the top playmakers in the South. His Norcross, Georgia team is preparing for the second round of the state playoffs which will take place this weekend.
"The team didn't do real well (in the first round)," Butler said.
