Sherron Collins has successful surgery
Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self announced that sophomore guard Sherron Collins underwent successful surgery on his left foot Monday.
"The surgery was performed to correct a stress fracture that came to light this morning when Sherron was x-rayed," Self said. "Sherron sprained his ankle last night (in KU's 85-62 win against UMKC) and was very sensitive to touch after the game. The sprained ankle aggravated an existing stress fracture that required surgery."
"Sherron will be out of action for approximately six weeks but should be ready by the start of the New Year," Self said.
