Shannon: Itís the Kyle Wright show now
After watching Kirby Freeman struggle in two starts and Kyle Wright lead two scoring drives in four tries last Saturday, coach Randy Shannon made a decision on this weekend's starter.
He's make a change.
Wright, who has a 14-7 record as a starter at UM, will be on the field for the start of the FIU game.
"Kyle Wright will be the starting quarterback this week," Shannon said. "We feel right now it's his opportunity to get him going.
"We're not going to play both quarterbacks in this game unless it's necessary. Both quarterbacks will have their package. Kyle will be the quarterback. There won't be a round-robin, one week Kirby and one week Kyle. It's going to be the Kyle Wright show for right now. We'll find someone to get it done. We love him just like we love Kirby. (Wright's) challenge is to get the ball to the guys that make plays."
Why is Shannon set on having one main guy instead of using both quarterbacks in games?
