Freshmen stand out in Tuesday pickup
The Arizona Wildcats roster is back in full force for the fall semester and began playing pickup games this week. On Tuesday, former Wildcat Hassan Adams made another appearance with the team to participate in the action. Jordan Hill continues to show off his new and improved jump shot. He is hitting a high percentage of these shots from about 15 feet out and is still attacking the basket at will. On Tuesday, Hill stayed more on the perimeter working on his shot.
Games went for an hour on Tuesday and included a high level of intensity for the duration. In this report we will focus on some of the players who stuck out most on Tuesday evening:
Jerryd Bayless started off slow from the field early on during the pickup session. Once the intensity and competitive spirit heightened then so did his play. Bayless became more aggressive and took a lot of tough shots that still went in.
Game control seemed to be the theme of the day for guard Laval Lucas-Perry. He did a good job of playing good defense that turned into transition opportunities. Lucas-Perry did not shoot as much on Tuesday but connected on several clutch jumpers throughout the games.
