No fight in Wildcats
Thursday's loss to Oregon signified everything that is currently wrong with the Wildcats. For starters, the seniors never stepped up. Mustafa Shakur and Ivan Radenovic needed to take center stage and failed to do so.
The two best players on the court for Arizona were freshmen and while that may be promising for the future, it is certainly not the recipe for success for a team like the UA.
It is fine to get major contributions from freshmen, but not when the seniors are failing to contribute. Radenovic and Shakur need to lead Arizona to a victory, rather than being the main blaming point for a loss.
Secondly, and maybe the most disturbing thing, Arizona played as if it had never seen Oregon before. Although the Ducks have talent, Oregon is pretty predictable as a whole. Oregon is a team composed of mainly shooters and the occasional strong post presence.
The Wildcats failed to recognize Tajuan Porter and company and thus were burned from long distance.
