Huge opportunity for Wildcats
The last time Arizona played the Southern California schools, the Wildcats were in the middle of an eight-game slump. The Wildcats lost two out of three before the trip to Los Angeles, got swept by USC and UCLA, and then lost two out of three more.
Suddenly, the Wildcats are back on track, having won three games in a row. But whether or not the UA has truly turned the corner will be known by Saturday afternoon.
Should Arizona sweep the Los Angeles schools this weekend, the Wildcats would be back in contention for a very high seed in the Pac-10 and NCAA Tournaments. Not bad for a team which many wondered would even make the big dance as recently as a week ago.
