Tate shines in Tigers' first scrimmage

AuburnSports.com Auburn's offense spent most of Saturday's scrimmage running the ball into stacked defenses - not exactly a recipe for excitement. While there weren't many opportunities for the 600 or so fans in attendance to stand and cheer, the play of a pair of much-discussed freshmen in tailback Benjamin Tate and linebacker Tray Blackmon electrified many in attendance.
