Recruiting impact: Tyrell Crosby
The Oregon Ducks got a commitment from Henderson, Nevada offensive lineman Tyrell Crosby on Monday. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound offensive tackle became Oregon's second commitment to their class of 2014, joining Wailuku linebacker Jordan Hoiem on the list.
The Ducks beat out ASU, Boise State, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, UNLV, Utah and Washington for his verbal pledge.
The Oregon Ducks graduate three scholarship offensive linemen after this year, Karrington Armstrong, Everett Benyard and Mana Greig. All three of these players are primarily interior guys, although Benyard can move outside to tackle if needed. Coach Greatwood said Benyard's best position is guard. Minus the three graduates, 12 scholarship offensive linemen will return. With a total roster target of 15 OL, this left three slots for the class of 2014. The commitment of Crosby leaves two OL slots likely remaining.
