Future Big Ten member Rutgers has made recent recruiting overtures in the Midwest, including offering two quarterbacks. One of them, Detroit (Mich.) Country Day signal caller Tyler Wiegers, earned his first BCS offer from the Scarlet Knights.

He previously held verbal offers from Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Toledo.
