After all indicators pointed in that direction, Rutgers bowl destination became official this afternoon, when it was announced the team will be headed to Orlando to play in the Russell Athletic Bowl.

It is expected the Scarlet Knights will face Virginia Tech in the game, which will be played Friday, December 28 at the Florida Citrus Bowl. Official confirmation will come this evening following the BCS Selection process
