Once Grady H.S. (Atlanta, Ga.) forward Brandon Watkins received his offer from West Virginia a couple weeks ago, he knew he had a decision to make.

But the issue was timing.

When Assistant Coach Erik Martin extended the offer, Watkins, 6-foot-9, 220-pounds, considered committing on the spot, but wanted to wait for the right time.
